I deleted the misleading and historically wrong parenthetical detail that "phrenology is a branch of the neurosciences" since the neurosciences were created in the 1960s (!!!). In other words, this would amount to what historians call the fallacy of presentism! See for e.g. Abi-Rached, J. M., and N.
